    Lightbulb Let's make ROGUE'S GAMBIT viable to use.

    I've being trying Maeve for a month, using Street Justice and Rogue's Gambit and i've noticed that Rogue's Gambit is not viable at all. Why? Well, let's see:

    These two are pounce-based talents and pounce is a movement skill that blows a melee attack that's used to deal the last blow.

    Street Justice makes pounce executes the enemy when it's under 35% of its maximum HP, a powerful strike that may delete frontline champs even if they got shielded; Rogue's Gambit, by the way, resets pounce cooldown when Maeve gets and elimination -making pounce a movement skill more than a last blow skill- and (here is my point) increase pounce damage by 10%, but, does that 10% really matters? The Answer is: NOPE


    Flank champions were made to kill enemy damage and support champions: damages got 2000, 2100 and 2200 hp (except for Tyra) and supports got 2200 hp (except for Grover).
    Now, Maeve's daggers deal 400 damage each one and Maeve throws 2 daggers per shot (meaning, 800 damage each shot), so, 2 shots gonna deal 1600 damage and pounce may finish 'em if they are 2000hp champs (like ShaLin or Lian) so, Rogue's Gambit 10% bonus damage won't affect this because they are 400hp left and pounce deals 400 damage on hit and there's no difference if pounce deals 400 or 440 damage. Now, what if the "2000hp champion" uses a loadout that increase its maximum hp? All of those cards increase the maximum hp in 50 each card tier so, if the champion maximum hp is 2050 he will survive with 50hp without Rogue's Gambit and also will survive with 10hp with Rogue's Gambit and there's no difference, nothing has changed because the 10% bonus damage won't help at all and you will have to hit that enemy one more time. Now, what if he got 2100, 2200, 2300 or 2400 base hp? Well, it's the same. Rogue's Gambit bonus damage won't affect the fight result because you will have to shot 3 pair of daggers in order to kill them and pounce damage is worthless. BUT, what if Tyra got 2650HP, Grover got 2675hp or Grohk got 2700HP? Well, 3 shots gonna deal 2400 damage and they will be 250hp, 275hp and 300hp respectively so, pounce will deal with them unless Maeve is using or not Rogue's Gambit Talent because the 10% damage bonus is worthless (ONCE MORE).

    BUT: there's some damage reduction items, cards and skills. Yeah, but even testing it, the 10% bonus damage is inappreciable and doesn't make a difference in a fight.




    WHAT I SUGGEST?

    I suggest to replace the 10% bonus damage on Rogue's Gambit for other effect. Rogue's Gambit is a great talent that reset pounce cooldown allowing Maeve to dash after killing or getting an elimination in order to escape or reach a safe place. If Rogue's Gambit also reduces the cooldown of pounce in 2 seconds, Rogue's Gambit will make a true difference in a fight. I'd like you analyze this with the Assembly of Champions to decide what would be the best effect to rework this talent because Street Justice makes the same than Rogue's Gambit, but better.
    Davy Jones (one of Makoa's Talent) got removed because Pluck was a dredge anchor talent with the same intending but more effective and Luminary (a Jenos' Talent) self bonus damage was removed because it was working as an aggresive talent but we already got Binary Star, another aggresive talent that grants more DPS. Don't let Rogue's Gambit unviable against Street Justice.

    I have often pondered what Maeve would be like to play with stealth while Prowl was active as a Talent option.

    The problem is what you stated already. If your playing rogues gambit your using it for mobility not damage.

    Remove the damge on this all together so you can pounce though people. Double the range. Reduce the cool down by 2 seconds.

    that would make it more difficult to finish off opponents,

    maybe just give it a 10% distance buff for the talent?

    forgot to mention there would be no reset on kill if you did all this.

    it would be less damage but she would be very mobile probably to the level of evie annoying

    wait, why would you remove the reset?

    that's like the whole point of the talent

    You cant have reduced cool down and reset. One or the other.

    Rogue's Gambit's bonus pounces often used as a movement ability, not as a damage dealer skill. Street Justice is already give dmg bonus to pounce, so I think Rogue's Gambit shouldn't. But a 10% or 20% distance buff for pounce would be a great additional to this talent. This better range could garant her better mobility and could able to save her more often.

    Said multiple times. Either have pounce deal 500 again at base or have the 500 only apply on rogues Gambit
