What is going on with the forums??

Hey everyone. We're all not very happy with the current state of the forums - connectivity issues, certificate issues, outdated software, low developer interaction, and everything else.

I've just talked with Molly and asked for permission to share what mods have known for a while: The forums will be getting a complete rework. The aim is that this will solve all of the issues on the forums, so if you've been getting any technical problems with the forums, they should be fixed with this rework.

However, I can not give a timeline for this, simply because there isn't one. The new forums are still in testing, so no dates can be given. Because of this, I ask that everyone stay patient while the web team develop this and test it. We know that it has been very annoying, but Hi-Rez is trying their hardest to get this fixed.



ICYMI: Wallachia has stepped down from head moderator of the forums to focus on other things in life, and Hexadermia has taken the top position.

The forums are like Terminus. Sounds like a great idea, you use them "oooh this is kinda nice, wait... this isnt working properly... whats wrong?"

Thank you for sharing the info with us, Borvik, I am glad to hear that the forum will receive an improvement, hopefully in accessibility as well. Those are great news for the forum community, not everyone prefers reddit over it.

I know about as much about the new forums as you do lol. We were offered a link, but it's currently internal for testing/development.

So Borvik, do you aspect a complete reset? Every single post, thread and maybe even account gone?
I hope not because that would be rather annoying.
