Anyone else think Atlas Statis Field is not fair

Enemy has Atlas/Ash combo.

I kept running up against the inability to deal with the Stasis Field other than waiting for it to expire. By that time, Ash has her shield again so now I have to knock that down again.

All the other front lines have a "shield" health that can be knocked down. Why is this one different?

I think it's less annoying than Terminus', really. At least it's stationary so you can move through or around it.

With Terminus, you can still shoot the others. With an indestructible field, not happening other than from the side/rear as you said.

Unfortunately there was no way I was going to get around it in that match.

I don't think it quite works the way it's supposed to. Had a (bot) Ash shooting me through the field yesterday. I don't think the projectile was hitting me but the blast was. So I suspect splash damage may be getting through.

Of course it also depends on whether they're using the field talent or not. If they are it's a lot harder to get around it so going through is the only option other than waiting for it to go down.

A good Terminus can use his Power Syphon to defend his entire team. Maybe not as much as he used to be able to do, but still.

Crossbow and Disengage were both blocked for sure.
It was pretty chaotic so I'm not exactly sure what effect the blast shot was having.
Either way it's not much damage when paired with a 10s cooldown.

The Stasis Field description says "nullifies all ranged attacks".

Based on that I would expect that impact of the projectile occurs on the Stasis Field and the resulting explosion/blast would be what gets thru. This would mean the enemy has to be fairly close to the impact location.

This seems to agree with what you said happened to you

Not sure what is supposed to happen with the knockback from the Megaton card I have in my loadout or the Disengage knockback for that matter.

I couldn't get around it simply because of map design in combination with their monster Ash basher. Besides, I was doing what I could to keep the support alive.

It may have only a 1s cooldown but it's not unlimited use. One has to manage the resource.
