If Paladins Had A Flagship Character

Hey! (: I'm Eggheadcobra. I've been playing Paladins since November 2017, and I'm new to the forums, so this is my very first threat.

Introduction aside, something I've been really wanting to see from Paladins is a flagship character. I don't know if Hi-Rez wants a flagship character for the game, or if they already have one but I completely missed (I've noticed Androxus gets a lot of screen time in videos and promotional art), but if Paladins were to have a flagship character, in my honest opinion?

It would have to be Ying.

I'm aware she isn't exactly the most popular character in the game, but ever since both she and Androxus released later in the game's life, seemed that at one point, even Hi-Rez tried pushing Ying to be a flagship character along with Androxus since both of them have been in a good majority of promotional art.

I feel like maybe they were being pushed to be flagship characters, but it might not have worked well for Ying, seeing as she has not been getting attention until her recent buffs.

But why Ying?

Ying has a lot of personality. She's very kind, very sweet, sometimes cocky, and unintentionally hilarious. But most importantly, she's very brave and determined. She's an adventurer who is still mastering her abilities, and with many adventures comes a lot of possible stories, encounters, and development.

It's true that the same can apply for any other characters in the game, but Ying does it in such a... main character-ish way, that's it's hard to miss just how many traits she has to be a flagship character. And maybe even protagonist.

As for Androxus, he would definitely make a great major anti-hero, and maybe even like a dark side that reflects off Ying.

Yes, I main Ying, and yes, she's my favorite character, but I'm saying this because she does indeed have the potential to be a leading force in the cast. But who knows? Maybe that isn't what Hi-Rez wants. But if she's already being addressed as Paladins' flagship character, then awesome! I can't wait to see what the future of Paladins holds for her!

Well, so far I'm glad Paladins doesn't have a flagship character. After just about two years with Overwatch, I am so sick-and-tired of Tracer everywhere.

I thought it was Cassie at first when the game first got announced. Nowadays it seems like its Ash or Lian being too heavy focus and showing up in trailers and starting up game screen.

It'll probably be Viktor. He is shown in almost every single champion teaser after he came out. Sure, he dies almost every time, but it's still something (and also it became a meme in the community)

But the thing is with flagship characters is that the game devs don't want the character to be bad, like Overwatch tracer, she hasn't been nerfed once, and she is beyond op. Also the flagship character should be fernando

I'd say either Ying or Androxus, maybe even both. But I'd pick Andro if there had to be 1.
